4 Month check up

We had our 4 month check up today...he weighed 12 lb, 13 oz (10 percentile), and he was 23 3/4 in long (10 percentile, his head was 60 percentile!! He is doing great. The doctor said his congestion from RSV had cleared, and his ears have cleared up as well. So hopefully we can try to stay well :) We are hoping to make it to West Point this weekend for a visit with the family. My brother, James, is coming from North Carolina, so we really wanted to visit with him. Hopefully, the weather will cooperate.Here is Matthew after his Doctor appointment and shots :)

What a week

Well Matthew has officially started daycare. It took just 2 days for him to get sick :( He got RSV. We went to the doctor multiple times last week. I had to take off 3 days also to stay home with him, which I didn't mind ;) I love being home with him. He did go back this past week and is now doing much better thanks to the many medicines and breathing treatments. I think I caught a little something too, so I have been sick as well!! I am feeling better too though. Hopefully next week will be a little bit easier.
Matthew will be four months on Monday! We go to the Doctor for our check up on Friday, so I will update his stats then.
We are super excited about the Saints being in the Superbowl and can't wait to watch the game and hopefully come out with a big W!! WHO DAT!
Mardi Gras is right around the corner too, so there is a lot going on here on the coast!

Here are some recent pictures. Matthew's first day at day care. It was black and gold day at both of our schools, so we had to dress appropriately.
There is also a picture of Matthew when he was sick. He LOVES the TV. I turned him around so that he could not watch it, and he has his little head turned around as far as he can so he can see it. LOL
Then, of course, are Matthew and Roscoe. Roscoe has been so good with him and doesn't bother him too much. He does like to be where we are though, so he will just sit besides us while we are playing. Every now and then he tries to get in on the action. haha.

Back to Work

Well my maternity leave will be over soon...I go back next Friday :( I have enjoyed being home with Matthew so much! We had a lot of fun, and I loved all the phases that he has gone through these first few months. I know there will be many more to come. He is still doing great, and I feel so blessed to have such a wonderful baby. The countdown to summer will begin soon!

Holiday Pictures

I hope everyone had a great holiday! We did. It was great to see friends and family that we haven't seen in a while! We didn't make it to West Point because my niece, Ava Greear, was sick :( but my mom and dad did make it down for Matthew's Christening, so that was nice. Matthew was Christened over the holidays. My camera batteries died, so I didn't get a lot of pictures with my camera. I will try to post some of those pictures later if I get some. Matthew has still been doing great and is almost 3 months old! I am just loving being with him and am trying to take it all in before I go back to work in 3 weeks :(
Paul has convinced me to start running again. We started last year, but then I got pregnant and stopped. (I was excited that I got pregnant and didn't have to do it anymore, haha) I am not a big fan of running, but I will give it another shot. It will be good for me. Matthew did get a jogging stroller for Christmas, so I guess we need to put it to use. Wish me luck ;)

Merry Christmas

We are off to West Point for a few days. This is his first trip away from home. We are excited about seeing everyone. When we get back home, he will get to meet his Aunt and Uncle and cousin Whitt. Matthew will get to meet so many new people over the next few days, which will be fun. He is still doing great..eating good, sleeping good, smiling a lot; he has even started rolling over some. 2 Months

Matthew had his 2 month check up today! He weighed 10 lbs (15th percentile), 22 inches long (10th percentile), and his head was 16 inches (50th percentile).

He has been doing great. He is sleeping about 6-7 hours at night, so I am getting some good sleep now. He is smiling a lot more and responds to my voice now. He is getting good at holding his head up too. When I put him on the Boppy, he all but jumps over it. He has strong legs! I think he works his legs more than his arms and head when he is on it...I am loving being home with him and am trying to enjoy every minute before I go back to work in January.
